COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT IN NORTHUMBERLAND
We believe that you should be involved in decisions about services which affect your life. This includes how we give information about our services and how we involve you in shaping and developing those services and improvements.
Community engagement is all about recognising that we need to involve you in what we do. We need to speak in a language that everyone can understand by cutting out jargon.
We need to tell you what our plans are and to listen to your ideas. And we need to be prepared to make adjustments, to show we listen and recognise that sometimes there are better ways of doing things.
Ways to get involved:
The links at the top of this page will give you more information about our plans and how you can become involved. You can access a database of all our consultation exercises, see why they were carried out and read the conclusions.
We want to know what you think about where you live and about the things that affect your lives. We also want the many different sections in our community to become involved in subjects that they have a special interest in.
Our commitment to you:
- We値l provide you with information on the services we provide for you.
- We値l let you know what consultation we are planning and how you can become involved.
- We値l provide you with different ways of responding to consultation.
- We値l listen to the views of residents, businesses, partners and community organisations and take these into account when making decisions.
- We値l let you know the outcomes of consultation.
