Local Councillors visit schools and conduct mock ballots. At first the Councillor will talk about the County Council, explaining what it does and how it affects everyone’s day-to-day lives. Then they will explain the importance of voting and how a ballot works. After this, the class/group will be asked to participate in a ballot and will see it in operation.

Duration: approx 40 minutes.
Suitable for: This is ideal for first and middle school aged children.
